FAQs

Am I required to take professional driving lessons?

No. Georgia offers two behind-the-wheel paths under Joshua's Law. You can complete 6 hours with a DDS-approved driving school, or choose the parent-taught (PTDE) path and complete all 40 hours using the state's free Parent/Teen Driving Guide40 Hour Parentteen Driving Guide 2024 2025 Dds.georgia.gov. Either way, at least 6 of your 40 hours must be at night. Aceable's online course qualifies for both options.
