6 Easy Steps to Getting a Nevada Driver's License

1. Enroll in Aceable

2. Pass the Permit Test

Prepare for the Nevada DMV Online Written Test by downloading and studying the driver handbook. (While you don’t have to complete our course before you take the test, it would certainly help you feel better prepared).

 

3. Get Your Certificate of Completion

4. Get Your Permit

Choose our Parent Taught Drivers Ed course to save an average of $300-500 on instructor fees.

 

5. Log Those Driving Hours

During the six months after getting your permit, complete your Aceable course and log 50 hours of behind-the-wheel driving practice, 10 of which must be completed at night.

 

6. Get Your License!

Return to the Nevada DMV (with all required documentation) so that you can take the driving test and get your license.

How long is the course?

The state of Nevada requires you to take a 30-hour drivers ed course if you are under 18 years old and have never held a driver license. You can access your course from your desktop, laptop, phone, and tablet, and you can log on and off whenever you want. While there are timers in the online Nevada drivers ed course, they're set at a pace much faster than the speed that most people read. You won't even notice them! The course also never expires, so you don't have to worry about any deadlines – Aceable works around your schedule. Throughout the course, there are 17 level assessments that are 10 questions each. You just need to score at least 70% to pass! You can retake them over and over again until you pass. At the very end of the course, you will take the final exam which you need to pass with at least 70%. After passing, we will email you your Certificate of Completion within 1-3 business days.
