5 Steps to Getting a License in Florida

1. Buy the Course

Purchase Aceable’s 4-Hour Florida Drug and Alcohol Course (DATA/TLSAE).

2. Complete the Course & Pass the Exam

Complete the 4-hour course and conveniently take the permit exam online with Aceable instead of at the Driver's License Office. (The permit test can be purchased separately from us or, more cheaply, as part of our course/test package.)

3. Get Your Learner License

Visit the Driver Licensing Office to get your learner’s license. (Aceable will already have notified the Driver Licensing Office that you completed the course and passed the test. All you'll need is proof of identification and other required items.)

4. Log Those Driving Hours

Complete the required 50 hours of behind-the-wheel driving practice, 10 of which must be completed at night. (NOTE: You can only drive during certain times of the day, depending on how long you’ve had your permit.)

5. Get Your License!

Return to the Driver Licensing Office to take the driving test and get your license. (Again, make sure to bring all required documentation with you.)
