5 Steps to Getting a License in Florida

 

1. Buy & Complete the TLSAE Course

Start your 4-hour required Drug and Alcohol Course with Aceable

 

2. Pass the Class E Knowledge Exam In Person

Visit your local licensing office to take the Florida Knowledge Exam. Anyone over 18 must take the permit test in person.

 

3. Get Your Learners License

Bring your certificate and ID to the state licensing office to get your permit.

 

4. Practice Driving

While Florida doesn’t require adults to log behind-the-wheel hours, we strongly recommend practicing with a licensed driver to build experience before test day.

 

5. Take and Pass the Behind-the-Wheel Driving Test

Return to the Driver's Licensing Office to take the driving skills test and get your license. (Again, make sure to bring all required documentation with you.)
