How many questions are on the Texas Adult Drivers Ed final exam?
The Texas ADE final exam includes 30 multiple-choice questions covering road signs, driving laws, and safety practices. You must score at least 70% (21 correct) to pass.
What’s the difference between the permit test and the final exam?
The permit test is required to get your Texas learner license and can be taken through drivers ed or at the DPS. The ADE final exam is taken after you finish the adult drivers ed course—it’s your last step before getting your license if you're 18–24 years old.
Can I retake the final exam if I fail?

What do I need to bring to the DPS after finishing my adult drivers ed course?
