8 Hours, Zero Classroom

Self-paced and fully online. Log in and out as many times as you need. Your progress saves automatically so you can finish in one session or spread it out across a few days.

Identify your situation before enrolling

The 8-hour course applies in a few different scenarios and your next steps depend on which one fits. If a court ordered it, confirm your submission deadline before you start. If the NC DMV required it due to point accumulation, the DMV removes 3 points from your record once you complete the course. If you completed the NC 4-hour course in the past 4 years and received a new citation, this is your required next step. If you're enrolling voluntarily for an insurance discount, no approval needed.
