A summer-long series of music and film, Corpus Christi’s Bay Jammin’ offers FREE concerts every Thursday and movies every Friday. Bring your lawn chairs, towels and picnic snacks-- the Cole Park Anderson Amphitheater is ready for some community fun.
Taste of Dallas | Dallas, TX: June 22-24 2018
Taste of Dallas is exactly what you think- the city’s premiere food and beverage experience. A 3-day event with over 40 music acts (on 4 stages!) and more than 50 restaurant vendors and food trucks, this fest has exactly what we love.
Dreamhack | Austin, TX: June 1-3, 2018
Not unique to Texas, Dreamhack is a worldwide festival that is occuring in 11 different locations this year. The world’s largest digital festival, it’s an event celebrating the culture of gaming. A platform for esports tournaments, music acts, tech exhibitions and panel discussions, this one is for the techies looking for the fest of their dreams.
Houston World Series of Dog Shows | Houston, TX: July 18-22
This annual dog show has one mission: to enhance the public’s knowledge about purebred dogs. Over a span of five consecutive days, independent breed shows occur as well as shows in categories including Houston Hound, All-Terrier, and the Working Dog. Over 150 breeds are represented!
Heart o’ Texas Margarita and Salsa Festival | Waco, TX: August 2018
Dont’ be fooled by the name-- there’s a lot more to this fest than the margaritas so you’ll want to check it out (though, tell your parents and they’ll be thrilled). This Waco party attracts country singers around the world and offers some of the best salsa tastings you’ll ever meet.
Southeast Texas Great Outdoors Expo | Beaumont, TX: July 20-22 2018
For the outdoorsman/woman always lookin’ for the next big thing in gear, this expo was made for you. A 3-day event of vendors selling the latest in hunting, fishing, and outdoor sporting equipment-- this is one you’ll want to save your pennies for to buy some new toys.
Quesoff | Austin, TX: August 2018
This year’s Quesoff will mark the 8th year of the celebration-- a competition of the cheese Texans love best. Awards are handed out in four varying categories: Meat, Veggie, Spicy and Wild Card, as well as a Best All Around prize. Chefs, restaurants, and even your mom’s homemade recipe are encouraged to participate. Chips go for $5 a bag to let you go to town on the competition.
