Registering to be an Organ Donor and Tissue Donor in Texas - In Person (at the DPS): When you get your license in Texas or renew your license in Texas at the DPS (Department of Public Safety), you will be asked if you would like to declare yourself as an organ and tissue donor. Answer in the affirmative and they will add you to the list of donors, effectively making you a super hero. In addition you get a heart on your license which we think is pretty cool.

In addition you will get a confirmation letter and organ donor card in the mail!
